Terms of Service

Last updated October 23, 2026

These are the ground rules for Shoe F.R.E.A.K.K., written in plain language. They apply to everyone who uses the site — buyers, sellers, artists and visitors.

1. Using Shoe F.R.E.A.K.K.

Shoe F.R.E.A.K.K. is an online sneaker marketplace and community in the Philippines. Verified shops and artists list pairs, buyers browse and buy them, people post in the community feed, and shops can take pairs on consignment and source stock from each other. By creating an account or using the site you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Returns page. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

Nothing in these terms takes away a right you have under Philippine law that can't be taken away, such as your rights as a consumer.

2. The laws we follow

We run Shoe F.R.E.A.K.K. under Philippine law, including, where they apply:

  • the Internet Transactions Act of 2023 (Republic Act No. 11967) and its rules,
  • the Consumer Act of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 7394),
  • the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its rules,
  • the Electronic Commerce Act of 2000 (Republic Act No. 8792),
  • the Intellectual Property Code (Republic Act No. 8293),
  • and the tax, business registration and payment rules that apply to us and to our sellers.

3. What we are, and what we are not

Shoe F.R.E.A.K.K. is the website where buyers and sellers meet. The sale of a pair is between the buyer and the shop or artist named on the listing. We don't make, own or store the pairs, and we don't inspect every pair that is sold.

The seller is responsible for the listing being true: the pair's brand, condition, size, photos and any claim that it is genuine, and for being allowed to sell it and for sending it. We are responsible for what we do ourselves: running the checkout, checking sellers as described below, holding a shop's earnings until an order is delivered or a problem is settled, handling reports and return requests fairly, and keeping your personal details safe.

A Verified badge, a "DTI registered" or "BIR registered" badge, good reviews or past sales don't prove that a particular pair is genuine. The only pairs we have looked at ourselves are the ones marked "Checked by our team", and even then we checked the proof the shop sent us, not the shoe in our hands.

4. You must be 18 or older

  • Only people 18 or older can have an account. Shoe F.R.E.A.K.K. has payments, a wallet, selling and messages between strangers, so it isn't for children. Anyone can still look around the shop without an account.
  • We ask for your date of birth when you sign up. If your account was made before we asked, we ask once on your next visit, and you can look around but not buy, sell, post or message until you answer.
  • If you tell us you are under 18, we won't make an account, and an account you already have is closed. If something is still going on (an order, money in your wallet), the account is switched off and our team finishes it with you.
  • Your date of birth must be true. When you apply to sell, our team checks it against your ID. We may close an account that we find belongs to someone under 18.

5. Your account

  • Give us true information and keep it up to date.
  • Confirm your email with the 6-digit code we send you.
  • One person, one account. Don't pretend to be another person or shop, use someone else's details or documents, send us false or edited papers, or make a new account to get around a suspension.
  • We may ask you for more proof of who you are when we need it to stop fraud, protect your account or follow the law.

6. Keeping your account safe

  • Keep your password and the 6-digit codes we email you to yourself. Never give them, or your Maya or GCash PIN, to a seller, a buyer or anyone who says they are from Shoe F.R.E.A.K.K. Our team will never ask for them.
  • Changing or resetting your password signs you out everywhere else. Five wrong passwords in a row lock the account for 15 minutes.
  • If you think someone else got into your account, reset your password and email us right away. We may pause parts of an account while we look into suspicious sign-ins.

7. Buying and paying

Before you pay you see the full total: the pairs, the delivery (a flat ₱180, always by Lalamove) and a 2% buyer protection fee. One order is from one shop. Placing an order is your offer to buy at that total; the order is confirmed once Maya tells us it is paid. A screen or email saying we received your order is not proof of payment.

You pay on Maya's own secure checkout page, using the ways to pay that page offers. We never see or keep your card or wallet details. Maya has its own terms and may ask you to verify the payment.

An unpaid order holds your pairs for 60 minutes, then they go back on sale. A shop can cancel a paid order before it ships if it can't send the pair (it has to say why), and the order cancels by itself if it isn't shipped within 7 days. If a paid order is cancelled, you get the full amount back.

The 2% buyer protection fee pays for holding the shop's earnings until you confirm the pair arrived or 3 days pass after it ships, and for our team's review of return requests. It is not insurance and it doesn't promise that every claim is approved; what happens is on the Returns page.

Use only your own card or wallet. If a payment you didn't make shows up, tell Maya and us at once.

8. Delivery

  • Every order goes by Lalamove for a flat ₱180. The shop should ship within 3 days of your payment and add the booking number and photos of the packed parcel. If it is late, you can cancel and get your money back.
  • Give a correct address and a mobile number the rider can reach, and be available to receive the parcel.
  • If a parcel is late, lost, damaged or wrong, report a problem on the order before you confirm it arrived (see Returns and refunds).

9. Returns and refunds

While an order is on its way, a buyer can report a problem: it never arrived, isn't as described, is the wrong pair, arrived damaged, or looks fake. The shop's payment is held meanwhile. The shop can agree or say no with a reason; if it says no or doesn't answer in 3 days, our team decides.

A refund is the full amount paid. It needs the pair sent back first, unless it never arrived. We don't take change-of-mind returns. Once an order is complete it can't be returned through the site, but that doesn't take away the rights the law gives you for a pair that is defective or not as described. Read the details on the Returns page.

Refunds are sent back to you by our team by hand once a return is settled. How long the money takes to show up depends on Maya and your bank or wallet.

10. Selling

Anyone can apply to sell. To be approved you need to be who you say you are and to run a real business.

  • Apply with your business details, a Philippine government ID, your DTI business name registration and BIR registration (both required), and a live photo. A person on our team reviews it and either approves it or rejects it and tells you exactly what to fix, so you can correct it and apply again.
  • Only sell footwear that is genuine, that you own or are allowed to sell, and that matches your photos and description. Counterfeits, replicas, and stolen goods are not allowed.
  • Every listing must show the brand and model, the price in pesos, the sizes and how many of each, the condition (brand new, pre-loved or custom) with any flaws, and real photos of the pair. Don't use stock photos that hide its condition, or make up discounts, "last pair" claims or reviews.
  • Your listing goes live as soon as you publish it. We can ask you to fix a listing or show proof, and take it down if it breaks these rules.
  • Ship a paid order within 3 days by Lalamove, and give the booking number and photos of the packed parcel, which are kept as proof it left your shop. An order not shipped within 7 days is cancelled and the buyer is refunded.
  • Answer return requests within 3 days and help us look into a complaint about one of your pairs.
  • Use a buyer's name, address and number only to send their order. Don't keep them for anything else, share them or send them ads.
  • You are responsible for your own taxes, receipts, permits, and for delivering what you sell.

11. Fees, your wallet and cashouts

  • Joining and listing are free. When a sale is completed we keep a commission from the pairs: 8% for a shop's own pairs, 10% for an artist's custom work, 15% for a consigned pair (the shop also takes its own cut, which it shows you before you agree), and 5% for shop-to-shop sourcing. Buyers also pay a 2% protection fee.
  • What you earn goes into your wallet when the buyer confirms delivery, or 3 days after shipping if no problem is reported. You then ask for a cashout to a saved GCash or Maya account: at least ₱100, with a ₱20 fee. Our team sends it by hand and marks it paid.
  • If we change a fee we will tell you first and update these terms. A new fee never applies to a sale that already happened.

12. Limits on orders

To keep pairs available for everyone, one order can hold up to 3 pairs, and you can have up to 2 unpaid orders at a time. If several of your unpaid orders run out of time or are cancelled in a short while (3 in a week, or 6 in a month), ordering is paused for a day or a week, and we tell you until when. Our team can give you another chance.

Placing orders you don't mean to pay for, using someone else's details, or trying to get around these limits is misuse. We may limit, suspend or close an account that does it, and cancel the orders involved.

13. Real pairs only

Sellers must be able to show why they say a pair is genuine (for example the original box, the receipt or an authenticity card) and describe it honestly, including its condition. Calling a replica "authentic" is never allowed. Anyone can report a pair as fake or misleading, and a buyer can report a pair that arrived and looks fake. Our team looks at each report. A seller who lists counterfeits or misdescribes pairs can lose their listings and their account, and what the law requires us to pass on, we pass on.

A shop can ask our team to look at its proof for one pair; if we're satisfied, the pair shows "Checked by our team". We don't inspect every pair that is sold. Checks on a seller confirm who they are, not that a given pair is authentic: see What our checks mean below.

14. What our checks mean

Sellers pass an ID check, a DTI and BIR registration check, and a live face match before they get the Verified badge; their shop then shows "DTI registered" and "BIR registered" badges (never the documents). The face match is automatic and a person reviews the result. These checks confirm who a seller is. They are not a guarantee that any pair is authentic or that a seller will behave well, so use your own judgement when you buy.

15. Things that aren't allowed

  • Fraud, scams, fake payments, or asking someone to pay outside the site's checkout.
  • Selling counterfeit, stolen or banned items.
  • False listings or reviews, or reviews of pairs you didn't buy.
  • Harassing or threatening anyone, or sharing someone's private details.
  • Trying to get into accounts or parts of the site that aren't yours, uploading harmful files, or getting in the way of the site working.
  • Misusing vouchers, sale prices or the order limits.
  • Posting photos, logos or words that belong to someone else without their permission.

16. Posts, photos, messages and reviews

You keep ownership of the photos, posts, and listings you add. You give us permission, free of charge, to store and show them on Shoe F.R.E.A.K.K. and in links people share from it, only as much as we need to run and improve the site. That permission ends for something you delete, except where others already rely on it (an order, a review you were answered on).

Anyone with an account can post to the community feed; each account can share up to 20 posts a day. Our team can take down any post or comment that breaks these rules and tells the author why.

Don't post or send anything illegal, misleading, hateful, threatening, spammy, or that belongs to someone else. Reviews must be about a pair you really bought. Anyone can report a pair, post, message, review, shop or story; our team looks at each report, and we can remove content and switch off accounts that break these rules. If someone is using your photos or brand, email us.

17. The sneaker assistant

The assistant answers questions about sneakers and the site and points to real pairs, shops and artists on Shoe F.R.E.A.K.K. Its answers are written by an AI service (ChatGPT, from OpenAI) and can be wrong or out of date. It can't tell whether a pair is genuine, in stock or as described, so check the listing and ask the shop before you buy. Don't type private details like passwords or ID numbers into it.

18. Suspending or closing an account

We may warn you, limit what your account can do, take content down, or suspend or close an account when there is good reason to think it breaks these terms, puts other people at risk, or gave us false information. What we do fits what happened, and when we can we tell you why and you can reply to us by email to ask us to look again.

You can close your own account any time from your profile, once nothing is unfinished (an open order, money in your wallet…). Your personal details are then removed; orders, reviews and messages stay under "Former member" because other people depend on them. Closing an account doesn't cancel a refund someone is owed.

19. Services that help us run the site

Payments go through Maya, deliveries through Lalamove, and the site runs on hosting, database, file-storage, email and AI providers. They have their own terms. We stay responsible for what the law and these terms make us responsible for.

20. Our responsibility

We work hard to keep the site running, but we provide it as it is and can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or free of every scam or security problem.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, or for losses from something outside our control such as a courier delay or a payment provider's outage. Nothing here limits our responsibility for fraud or for harm we cause on purpose, or a right you have under Philippine law that cannot be limited, including consumer protection rules.

21. Complaints

For a problem with an order, open the order and tap Report a problem (see the Returns page). To report a pair, post, message, review, shop or story, use its Report button. For anything else — a payment, your account, your privacy, or how we handled something — email us with your order number if there is one, what happened, and any photos. A person on our team reads every complaint and answers you.

If we can't settle it with you, you can still go to the Department of Trade and Industry (consumer complaints), the National Privacy Commission (privacy), or the courts.

22. Changes, the law, and the rest

We may update these terms as the site and the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version; we tell you about big changes before they apply, and ask you to agree again when the law requires it. Using the site after a change means you accept it.

These terms follow the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. If one part is found not to be valid, the rest still applies. These terms, the Privacy Policy and the Returns page are the whole agreement between you and us about using the site.
